| Plot: | She is sleeping with an artist. Her husband, much older than she, is controlling; plus, he's a rich international investor in financial trouble. Then we learn that she's in love with the artist, that she has her own fortune, which the artist is possibly more interested in than in her, and that her husband has figured out she's having an affair. He approaches the artist with plans for a perfect murder. But the best laid plans gang aft a-gley. |

Continuity: During the attempt on Emily's life her hair is in a ponytail, then it's down, then it's up in a ponytail again. This happens a few times during the fight. Continuity: When detective Karaman shows Emily the pictures and the sketches of he murdered man, you can see the man stabbed on the left side of the neck on the picture (as really happened), but on the right side of the neck on both sketches. Continuity: Emily's hair scrunchie appears in her hair as she is answering the phone and seems to have fallen out during the struggle but reappears and disappears several times throughout the attack. Continuity: When Emily is questioned at the police station, her turtleneck sweater keeps moving around. Sometimes it's unrolled practically up to her eyes, while other times it's pushed down to her chin. PLOT: While Karaman is questioning Steven in the kitchen, he points out that Steven's footprints are visible all around the body in the blood. We also have seen that when Emily left the kitchen she left a trail of bloody footprints. However, when Steven runs to the door to fix the lock, he miraculously leaves no bloody prints on the floor. Continuity: When David takes out the shoe box with the money in it it has a rubber band around it. It did NOT have a rubber band around the box when Steven had it in the bag. Revealing mistakes: After the scene, where Steven opens a door for policemen, a camera pans down the spiral stairs. You can see two officers down there on the stairs obviously waiting for director's command and then start moving simultaneously. |

Emily: We'll work it out? Let me tell you something, you work it out on your fucking own! This is over! Steven: You're not leaving me, the only way you leave me is dead! Steven: When you wake up tomorrow, all this will seem like a bad dream. Emily: What if there is no tomorrow? Emily: That's not happiness to see me is it? Raquel: I mean screwing around is second oldest reason to kill someone. Emily: Oh really, and what would be the first? Raquel: [raises a glass] Money, honey! David Shaw: Hey Steven, do I keep fucking your wife in the meantime, or what? [Just after David Shaw is stabbed and Steven Taylor is looking at a piece of paper] David Shaw: Steven Taylor's greatest hits. David Shaw: What happens if the plan goes to hell? Steven: It won't. David Shaw: When's this card game of yours? Steven: Tomorrow evening. David Shaw: Tomorrow? No fucking way! Bobby Fain: Rich people, they're different from you and me? Mohamed Karaman: How's that? Bobby Fain: Well, for one thing, they've got a lot more money... Mohamed Karaman: [smirks] Very good, Bobby. David Shaw: Excuse me sir, can you spare 400 grand? Steven: I don't see why not. David Shaw: Excuse me sir, can you spare me 400 grand? Steven: I don't see why not. [first lines] Steven: There you are. And how was your day? Any progress in saving the world? Emily: I'm working on it. [last lines] [after listening to the tape of the murder plan] Emily: [crying] He... he said he was going to kill me. So I tried to run. Mohamed Karaman: And then he attacks you? Emily: Yes. Mohamed Karaman: What else could you do? [Emily looks at Karaman with gratitude] Mohamed Karaman: [In Arabic] May God be with you. Emily: And you as well. Steven: How's *that* for wet work? Emily: He must have put it back on his way in, didn't plan on that did you? Steven: Young David he was... he was very unpredictable. Steven: [Steven stabs David Shaw] You should thank me. Artists are always appreciated more after they're dead! |
