Goofs

Continuity: Eckhart's beard when he busts Jack raiding the office.
Continuity: A Smith & Wesson turns into a Colt on the fight on the catwalks.
Continuity: The name of the museum is spelled differently on the outside and inside.
Continuity: Pink handprints on a canvas in the museum.
Continuity: The Joker knocks over a statue in the museum that soon rights itself.
Crew: When the Batmobile first drives itself automatically, a hand is visible on the steering wheel through the tinted windscreen.
Continuity: Batman's communicator after telling the Batmobile to stop.
Revealing mistakes: After the Joker has killed Grissom, we see his hand move.
Continuity: SPOILER: As Batman follows Joker in to the cathedral, he stumbles and knocks a row of seats over, causing a domino-effect on the rows behind knocking those over. The next shot shows Joker looking over his shoulder listening to numerous thuds as four or five rows fall. When we see Batman pull himself up, only the two first rows have fallen and the four or five rows tilt over again.
CHAR: The issue of Time Magazine with Vicki's photos misspells her name as "Vicky" Vale on the front cover.
Continuity: The port gun door on the Batplane opens twice.
Continuity: Tables and chairs vanish after Alicia enters Grissom's meeting.
Continuity: The shape of wiped-off makeup on the Joker's face changes.
Revealing mistakes: When we first see the Joker as he confronts and kills Grissom, he comes out of the light and a large purple splotch appears on his neck. On the Special Edition DVD of the film, the make-up adviser explains that this was done because some of the white make-up used for the Joker's face got on the coat collar, and rather than taking it off with alcohol, they covered it up with purple shoe polish.
Revealing mistakes: During the parade scene when Joker releases the gas, Vicki escapes harm by entering the car. When driving away you can see that the rear passenger side window is open.
Miscellaneous: SPOILER: The Joker's revolver should not have been strong enough to bring down the Batwing (it's a holdover from an earlier version of the script, in which the Joker had a tank hiding in one of the parade floats which shot the Batwing down. They weren't able to film it this way for budget reasons though.)
Revealing mistakes: When the Joker releases the gas during the parade scene, Alexander Knox takes a white dust mask out of the car to prevent him from inhaling the gas. A dust mask only protects you from dust particles and not from gas.
Fact errors: When Batman goes to blow up Axis Chemicals, he uses pop-up machine guns to cut down a door. We see the guns bouncing up and down with the recoil and with the swaying and bumping of the car, but the bullets still cut a straight clean line without any stray bullets.
Continuity: The balloon behind the Joker's car (the clown balloon) is close to the ground on close-up shots, and floating high from the ground on other shots.
Continuity: SPOILER: Blood on the Joker's chin vanishes in the final scene.
Continuity: When destroying the paintings in the museum, one of Joker's henchmen puts several hand prints on a painting. Later, we see Joker imitating the statue, and in the background we can see the painting that had supposedly been fingerpainted is not.
Continuity: Bruce Wayne pauses the video with Joker's eyes closed, but the next time we see the paused scene, his eyes are open.
Continuity: When leaving the dining room, Vicki Vale reaches for her wineglass twice.
Revealing mistakes: In the opening fight scene, Batman kicks the mugger Eddie through a door. While Eddie is flying through the air, the wire attached to his back is visible.
Continuity: The list of fatal "combined" ingredients in the newspaper does not match the one read by the anchorman later.
Continuity: Bruce Wayne is shot in the arm during the sequence with the Joker and the mimes, but a short while later there is no longer a hole in the sleeve of his coat.
Revealing mistakes: The Axis Chemical Plant iron gate opens a little bit before the Batmobile smashes it open.
Revealing mistakes: When stealing the Jokers balloons, Batman hits a number of switches to close the claw, as he does so, three LEDs go off, one of them (the red one) clearly marked "volume".
GEOG: The film is set in Gotham City, USA, but the bottle the Joker holds up in his "Smilex" commercial is for a "Moisturising" creme (instead of "moisturizing"), a tip-off that the bottle was created in England, where the film was shot.
CHAR: On the newspaper that explains the combinations of dangerous products, Odor Eaters is spelled "Odoureaters" (UK spelling in the USA). In the same piece, the first combination is "Deodorant's with Baby Powder" (misplaced apostrophe).
Revealing mistakes: When Joker points the gun at Bob to shoot him, Bob jumps before the gun is fired.
Continuity: After Jack takes the axe and smashes it into the acid vat, we see the acid on his jacket (very visible when we see him running up the stairs to escape the police shooting at him). But when Jack is on the catwalk, with his back to the camera, his coat is perfectly dry.
Continuity: When Bruce is examining the plate in Vicki's apartment, an indentation is visible before the Joker shoots it.
Revealing mistakes: When the Bat-Signal is shone into the sky, the "sky" moves, revealing the sky to be a backdrop.
Fact errors: The Bat Signal at the end of the film produces a nice, clean flat image against the sky. A lighted signal such as this, however, would need a backdrop to be cast against to be seen (clouds, for example.)
Continuity: When Batman captures the balloons with the Batwing and sets them free, they are clustered together. In the very next frame, they have spread out.
Continuity: When the Joker pursues Vicki in her apartment, at one point she grabs a popcorn dish from a shelf. The dish in her hands appears and disappears between shots.
Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: Obvious animated "stand-in" for the Joker when he falls to his death.
Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: When Batman climbs out from the wrecked Batwing, he climbs out from the rear of the plane - obviously not the cockpit he was flying from.
Continuity: When Batman piloting the Batwing takes off with the parade balloons. At first there are only four balloons. In a wide shot, five balloons are being carried, including the infant balloon which was seen during the Smylex gas scare. But when Batman sets the balloons free, four balloons are released, not including the infant balloon.
Continuity: SPOILER: Vicki Vale and the Joker are ascending the stairs of the Cathedral and the shoe slips off of her left foot but when it lands it is the right foot shoe.
Continuity: When the Joker is at City Hall with his mime gang, the mime gang opens fire on everyone around. In one shot, two police officers are at the top of the stairs of City Hall, but in the aerial shot, the police officers are gone.
Continuity: During the Joker's Parade, one of the dollar bills that his goons were throwing out to the crowd gets caught on his throne. However, when he tells his goons to put on their masks, it has vanished. It reappears when the Joker pulls out the remote control.
Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: When Batman punches the Joker and he falls over the Cathedral ledge, the mat on which the stuntman fell on is visible on the left of the screen for a split second.
Continuity: When the Joker is throwing his parade, the float that the Joker stands on passes the same building (marked delicatessen) twice.
Crew: When Batman saves Vicki from the museum you can see a crew members hand holding Vicki when Batman raises them up in the air.
Fact errors: The S&W M29 44. magnum with the long barrel that the joker pulls out of his pants would not be powerful enough to take down the bat jet. The size of the barrel would change nothing unless it was a single shot but it isn't.
SYNC: The gun the Joker uses to shoot Bruce is a S&W model 1 (22. caliber short) pistol. The gun makes way too loud a bang to be a 22. short.
Continuity: After Batman blows up Axis Chem. he is standing in front of the car as it stops. When the Joker arrives in the helicopter he shines a light at Batman. Then they cut to a shot of the copter leaving with the light off, but when they cut back to Batman it's on again.
Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: As Batman and Vicki hang from the ledge atop the Cathedral, Joker dances around, causing the "stone" parapet to wobble.
Continuity: SPOILER: In the flashback the young Jack Napier has blue eyes, but the adult one has brown eyes.
Revealing mistakes: During the fight in the alley after the chase, a goon with two swords appears, and Batman knocks him out. The actor in the Batsuit is clearly not Michael Keaton - the jaw is slightly offset. After this, it is Keaton again.
Crew: SPOILER: When the Joker grabs hold of the ladder attached to his helicopter when he is trying to escape off the top of the cathedral, it is apparent that he is being held up by a wire as he momentarily takes both hands off the ladder. You can see the wire attached to the front of his belt.
SYNC: SPOILER: In the cathedral, when Joker throws away the fake "bang" gun, the gun is never heard hitting the ground.
Fact errors: At Bruce Wayne's party the craps game stick man is shown throwing dice to Gordon with his hand. In real craps games the stick man moves the dice with his stick only.
Miscellaneous: During the Prince "Partyman" music video included on the special edition Batman DVD, there is a single frame displaying the editing time-code on the screen.
Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: As the camera spins around the "dead" Joker lying on the pavement, we can see his eyes blink twice, once at a distance and again as the camera gets a bit closer.
Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: When the bell prop "falls" (Joker corroded with his squirt-flower acid), Jack Nicholson clearly jumps in reflex to the jolt it causes, as he is turned away from it.
Revealing mistakes: The purple mask that Vicki Vale uses to protect herself from the Poison Gas in the Museum has no filters attached to it. She is breathing unfiltered air, so the mask is totally useless.
PLOT: SPOILER: When Vicki examines the platter Bruce used to stop the Joker's bullet, the dimple is on the wrong side. If the platter had been under Bruce's clothes facing that way, its large rim would have created an obvious bulge.
Continuity: At the beginning of the movie, on the rooftop, Batman pulls out a batarang to catch the fleeing crook. The batarang is matte black, ridged, and hinged in the middle. Once it's around the crook's ankle, though, it's shiny black, smooth and all one piece.
CHAR: SPOILER: At the first Axis Chemicals square-off, Commissioner Gordon orders the police to take Napier alive, as opposed to Eckhardt's "shoot to kill". Yet, they still open fire directly at him.
PLOT: At the end of the movie, the Joker instructs his henchmen to meet him at the top of the Gotham cathedral in ten minutes. Not only does the Joker (and other characters) manage to climb the 500-foot staircase in less than two minutes without showing any visible signs of fatigue, it still takes nearly fifteen minutes for the Joker's goons to come pick him up.
Revealing mistakes: During the initial scene after the family is robbed, the scene cuts to the top of a building, where Batman is watching. It is obvious as the figure turns around and walks away, that this is not a real person, but instead an animated image.
Continuity: In the final fight seen with the Joker, he cuts down the bell in the church tower. Later when Batman is fighting the villain right before he fights the Joker, the bell is there.
Continuity: When the Joker interrupts Bruce Wayne and Vivky in her apartment, he smashes Alicia's mask on the mantelpiece. Later as Bruce is walking around the room we see a long shot with Bruce standing in front of the mantelpiece. There is no debris from the shattered mask either on top of the mantelpiece, or on the floor in front of it.
Revealing mistakes: When the wealthy Wayne family is robbed, the pearls all fall separately. But pearl necklaces of any noticeable value invariably have a knot between each pearl to hold them in place and keep from rubbing on and damaging each other. Only the cheapest dime-store version would fall apart that way.
Revealing mistakes: When Batman comes through the window in the museum you can see the stunt wire that lowers Batman down.
Miscellaneous: During the initial fight scene, when Batman kicks Eddie The Thug, there is for an instant, a flash going off as if a picture is being taken when Eddie hits the door.
PLOT: During the final confrontation with The Joker in the bell tower Batman says "you killed my parents, you say I made you, you made first", then Joker says "I was just a kid when I killed your parents". There is some argument as to how The Joker could respond in that way, given that he doesn't know that Batman is Bruce Wayne.
PLOT: Only Joker, Vicki, and Batman ascended the cathedral stairs, and Joker's helicopter wouldn't arrive for quite some time. So how did the Joker's henchmen get on the roof?
Continuity: At the very end of the film when the camera is climbing the buildings, the final image is of Batman standing on the ledge with the bat signal next to him, though he doesn't seem to have any ears.
PLOT: The Joker publicly announces that he will be throwing a big parade in the streets of Gotham. The police have been after him throughout the whole movie, yet they're nowhere to be seen during the parade, the easiest time to capture him.
Revealing mistakes: When Batman raises his arm to deflect Napier's bullet, you can see that he isn't wearing the black makeup around his eyes.

Quotes

The Joker: Haven't you ever heard of the healing power of laughter?
Grissom: That you, sugar bumps? [turns around to see a man] Who the
hell are you?
Joker: It's me, Sugar bumps.
Grissom: Jack? Oh, oh, thank God you're alive! I heard you'd been...
Joker: Fried? Is that what you heard? You set me up over a woman. A
*woman*! You must be insane. [Grissom goes for his gun] Don't
bother.
Grissom: Your life won't be worth spit!
Joker: I've been dead once already. It's very liberating. You should
think of it as, uh... therapy.
Grissom: Jack, listen. Maybe we can cut a deal.
Joker: Jack? Jack is dead, my friend. [steps into the light] You can
call me... Joker. And as you can see, I'm a lot happier. [laughs,
and then proceeds to kill Grissom]
Bruce Wayne: [Vicki goes to answer the front door; mouths] I'm
Batman, I'm Batman.
The Joker: [talking to a gargoyle] What are you laughin' at?
The Joker: I've recently had a tragedy in my life. Alicia...
[lays the mask that Alicia wore on the table]
The Joker: ...threw herself out of the window.
Vicki Vale: Oh, my God.
The Joker: But, you can't make an omelette without breaking some
eggs.
[breaks the mask and starts giggling]
The Joker: I have given a name to my pain, and it is Batman.
Joker: Hello, Vinny. It's your Uncle Bingo. Time to pay the check!
Alfred Pennyworth: I have no wish to fill my few remaining years
grieving for the loss of old friends. Or their sons.
Knox: You know what they say? They say he can't be killed. They say
he drinks blood. They say...
Eckhardt: I say... you're full of shit, Knox. Oh, uh, you can quote
me on that.
Jack Napier: Decent people shouldn't live here. They'd be happier
someplace else.
Alicia: Pretty tough talk about Carl.
Jack Napier: Don't worry about it. If this clown could touch Grissom,
I'd have handed him his lungs by now.
Alicia: If Grissom knew about us, he might hand you something.
Jack Napier: Don't flatter yourself, angel. He's a tired old man. He
can't run this city without me. And besides, he doesn't know.
Vicki Vale: You're insane!
Joker: I thought I was a Pisces!
The Joker: Where does he get those wonderful toys?
The Joker: [reciting his poem to Vicki] I'm only laughing on the
outside / My smile is just skin deep / If you could see inside I'm
really crying / You might join me for a weep.
The Joker: Bruce... Wayne, n'est-ce pas?
Bruce Wayne: Most of the time.
[Batman dangles a mugger over the side of a building]
Nic: Don't kill me! Don't kill me, man! Don't kill me! Don't kill me,
man!
Batman: I'm not going to kill you. I want you to do me a favor. I
want you to tell all your friends about me.
Nic: What are you?
Batman: I'm Batman.
The Joker: The pen, is truly mightier than the sword!
Dist. Atty. Harvey Dent: We've received a letter from Batman this
morning. 'Please inform the citizens of Gotham that Gotham City has
earned a rest from crime. But if the forces of evil should rise
again, to cast a shadow on the heart of the city, call me.'
Alexander Knox: Question. How do we call him?
Commissioner Jim Gordon: He gave us a signal.
[Commissioner Gordon activates the Bat Signal]
Vicki Vale: [distracting Joker] Mr. Joker, you say such beautiful
things. Oh, you're so powerful. And purple! Oh, I love purple.
Batman: Excuse me.
[Joker looks]
Batman: Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
[punches him]
Batman: I'm going to kill you!
The Joker: You IDIOT! You made me. Remember? You dropped me into that
vat of chemicals. That wasn't easy to get over, and don't think
that I didn't try.
Batman: I know you did.
[punches him again]
The Joker: Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the
devil in the pale moonlight?
Bruce Wayne: What?
The Joker: I always ask that of all my prey. I just... like the sound
of it.
[shoots him]
The Joker: Never rub another man's rhubarb.
The Joker: Gotham City. Always brings a smile to my face.
[Jack Napier is confronted with Batman for the first time]
Jack Napier: Nice outfit!
[Joker gives someone a hand and electrocutes him]
Joker: Oh, I got a live one here!
Vicki Vale: I just gotta know, are we gonna try to love each other?
Bruce Wayne: I'd like to. But he's out there right now. And I've
gotta go to work.
[the Joker sees a picture of Vicki Vale]
Joker: Stop the press, who is that?
Vicki Vale: A lot of people think you're as dangerous as the Joker.
Batman: He's psychotic.
Vicki Vale: Some people say the same thing about you.
Batman: What people?
Vicki Vale: Well, I mean, let's face it. You're not exactly normal,
are you?
Batman: It's not exactly a normal world, is it?
The Joker: Now comes the part where I relieve you, the little people,
of the burden of your failed and useless lives. But, as my plastic
surgeon always said: if you gotta go, go with a smile.
Batman: You killed my parents.
The Joker: What? What? What are you talking about?
Batman: I made you, you made me first.
The Joker: Hey, bat-brain, I mean, I was a kid when I killed your
parents. I mean, I say "I made you" you gotta say "you made me." I
mean, how childish can you get?
The Joker: And now, folks, it's time for "Who do you trust!" Hubba,
hubba, hubba! Money, money, money! Who do you trust? Me? I'm giving
away free money. And where is the Batman? HE'S AT HOME WASHING HIS
TIGHTS!
Vicki Vale: What do you want?
The Joker: My face on the one dollar bill.
Vicki Vale: You must be joking.
The Joker: Do I look like I'm joking?
[Last lines]
Alfred Pennyworth: I thought champagne would be in order, ma'am.
Vicki Vale: Hi, Alfred.
Alfred Pennyworth: Mr. Wayne told me to tell you that he might be a
little late.
Vicki Vale: I'm not a bit surprised.
The Joker: New and improved Joker products! With a new secret
ingredient: Smylex.
[Jack is primping in front of a mirror]
Alicia: You look fine.
Jack Napier: I didn't ask.
The Joker: My balloons. Those are my balloons. He stole my balloons!
Why didn't somebody tell me he had one of those... things? Bob,
gun.
[Bob hands him a gun, Joker shoots him]
The Joker: I'm gonna need a minute or two alone, boys.
The Joker: Joker here.
TV Technician: We got interference. Call the OB unit, will ya?
The Joker: Now you fellas have said some pretty mean things. Some of
which *were* true under that fiend, Boss Grissom. He *was* a thief,
and a terrorist. On the other hand he had a tremendous singing
voice. He's dead now, and he's left me in charge. Now, I can be
theatrical, and maybe even a little rough - but one thing I am not,
is a *killer*. I am an artist. I *love* a good party. So, truce.
Commence au festival!
[the Batwing is flying at Joker]
The Joker: Come on, you gruesome son of a bitch! Come to me. Ha ha ha
ha ha ha! Come on!
The Joker: Darling, I've got to get you to the church on time.
The Joker: [fuming] Batman... Batman... Can somebody tell me what
kind of a world we live in, where a man dressed up as a *bat* gets
all of my press? This town needs an enema!
Commissioner Jim Gordon: This is Commissioner Gordon! I want him
taken alive! I repeat: Any man who opens fire on Jack Napier will
answer to me!
[Joker reads the newspaper]
The Joker: "Winged freak terrorizes"? Wait till they get a load of
me!
The Joker: Who is that loss?
Bob the Goon: It's Knox.
The Joker: Bad tie.
Batman: You weigh a little more than a hundred and eight.
Vicki Vale: Oh really!
Batman: Let's go.
Vicki Vale: I'm reading your stuff.
Alexander Knox: Well, I'm reading yours.
Vicki Vale: Hi! I'm Vicki Vale.
Joker: So gentlemen, that's how it is. Until Grissom, uh resurfaces,
I'm the acting President, and I say starting with this anniversary
festival, we run the city into the ground.
Joker: I now do what other people only dream. I make art until
someone dies. See? I am the world's first fully functioning
homicidal artist.
Jack Napier: Why, Eckhardt, you oughta think about the future.
Eckhardt: You mean when you run this show? You ain't got no future,
Jack! You're an A-1 nut boy and Grissom knows it!
[Jack pushes Eckhardt against the wall, and Eckhardt whips out his
gun. Bob steps up from behind Jack with his gun pointed at
Eckhardt]
Jack Napier: Better be sure.
[Eckhardt's lowers his gun]
Jack Napier: See? You can make a good decision when you try.
[he chuckles as he and Bob walk away]
Joker: At midnight, I will dump twenty million in cash on the crowd.
Don't worry about me, I've got enough.
The Mayor: We are not prepared to discuss any deals.
Joker: [pushes the Mayor off the TV] You heard it folks. Twenty
million.
Joker: As though we were made for each other... Beauty and the Beast.
Of course, if anyone else calls you beast, I'll rip their lungs
out.
Alexander Knox: Maybe it should be Bruce Vain!
Mugger: I'm tellin' you, man, a giant bat!
The Joker: It can be truly said, that I have a bat in my belfry.
[laughs] Shall we dance?
The Joker: Sometimes I just kill myself!
Batman: See that thing on my belt? Grab it! Whatever you do, don't
let go.
Eddie: Hey, let's beat it, man. I don't like it up here.
Nic: What are ya, scared of heights?
Eddie: I don't know. After what happened to Johnny Gobs...
Nic: Hey, look, man. Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a
roof, all right? No big loss.
Eddie: No man... that ain't what I heard at all. I heard that the Bat
got him.
Nic: The Bat? Aw man, give me a break, will ya?
Eddie: Five stories straight down. There wasn't no blood in the body.
Nic: No shit. It was all over the pavement.
Rotelli: What's with that stupid grin?
The Joker: Life's been good to me.
Bruce Wayne: Let me tell you about this guy I know. Jack. Mean kid.
Bad seed. Hurt people.
The Joker: I like him already.
Bruce Wayne: You wanna get nuts? Come on! Let's get nuts!
[after revealling his latest "work", Alicia]
The Joker: Well, I'm no Picasso, but do you like it?
Joker: Antoine got a little hot under the collar.
The Joker: It's time to retire! Feel free to drop in.
[reaches for a pair of glasses in his pocket and puts them on]
The Joker: You wouldn't hit a guy with glasses on, would you? Huh?
[Batman punches him]
The Joker: We've got a flying mouse to kill, and I wanna clean my
claws.
The Joker: They don't make 'em like they used to! Do they, eh? Eh,
Batsy?
[upon entering the museum]
Joker: Gentlemen! Let's broaden our minds. Lawrence?
[Alicia sees Jack as the Joker for the first time]
Joker: Honey, you'll never believe what happened to me today.
[Alicia faints]
Joker: Huh. [chuckles]
Bruce Wayne: Y'see, my life is really... complex.
[to Rotelli's charred and smoldering corpse]
Joker: Your pals, uh, they're not bad people. Maybe we, uh, outta
give them a couple of days to think it over.
[shakes head]
Joker: No?
[looks surprised]
Joker: Grease 'em now? Well, OK. You are a vicious bastard Rotelli,
and, uh, I'm glad you're dead!
Grissom: Jack, it's an important job. I need... someone I can trust.
You are my number one guy!
Joker: Bob, I want you to go down to the globe. Follow that reporter
Knox. Take your camera. See what he knows about this Batman. And
Bob...
[imitates Grisson]
Joker: Remember... you... are my number one... guy!
Joker: Have you shipped a million of those things?
Scientist at Axis Chemicals: Yes sir!
Joker: Ship 'em ALL! We're gonna take 'em out a WHOLE NEW DOOR!
Jack Napier: Brought you a little snack, Eckhardt.
[it's a wad of bills between two pieces of bread]
Eckhardt: Why don't you broadcast it?
Jack Napier: Shut up.
The Joker: I'm of a mind to make some mookie.
Alexander Knox: [seeing Vicki for the first time] Hello legs!
Alexander Knox: [observing one of Wayne's odd sculptures] Check this
out! He must have been "King of the Wicker People".
Vicki Vale: What about *your* family?
Bruce Wayne: Well, actually, Alfred is my family.
Vicki Vale: You know, this house and all this stuff really doesn't
seem like you at all.
Bruce Wayne: Some of it is very much me. Some of it isn't.
Alfred Pennyworth: Miss Vale called again. Dare I suggest that your
present course of action might simply strengthen her resolve. She
is quite tenacious.
Bruce Wayne: You're right about that.
Alfred Pennyworth: And if I may say so, quite special. Perhaps you
could try telling her the truth.
[about one of his suits of armor]
Bruce Wayne: It's Japanese.
Knox: How do you know?
Bruce Wayne: Because I bought it in Japan.
Vicki Vale: What can I do for you?
The Joker: Oh, little song, little dance. Batman's head on a lance.
The Joker: [examining Vicki's work] Crap... crap... crap... crap...
[sees pictures of war victims]
The Joker: Ah! Now that's good work! The skulls... the bodies... you
give it all such a glow! I don't know if it's art, but I like it!
The Joker: Gotham City Cathedral, transportation for two.
Helicopter Goon: Right away, sir?
The Joker: Five minutes.
Helicopter Goon: Five minutes.
[Joker raises his head to look at the top of the Cathedral]
The Joker: Better make it ten.
Vicki Vale: [speaking across the entire dining room table] Could you
pass the salt?
Vicki Vale: He's really wonderful? He loves you a lot.
Bruce Wayne: Alfred's a great one. I Couldn't find my socks without
him.
[first lines]
Passenger: Excuse me.
Tourist Dad: I'm sorry, this is my cab.
Passenger: Sorry.
Tourist Dad: Listen, I was here first!
[as the cab drives away]
Tourist Dad: Oh, God! Oh, taxi? Taxi!
Bob the Goon: Let him go, or I'll do Gordon.
Alexander Knox: Mr. Dent, I love that tie. We were discussing the
pros and cons of winged vigilantes. What's your stand?
Dist. Atty. Harvey Dent: Mr. Knox, we have enough problems in this
city without worrying about ghosts or goblins.
Alexander Knox: Pardon me, but that's not a denial.
Jack Napier: We've been ratted out here, boys.
The Joker: [Talking to Bob] You [heavy breathing] are my number one
[heavy breathing] guy.
Bruce Wayne: You're a real nice girl, and I like you a lot, but right
now, shut up.
Alexander Knox: The rich. You know why they're so odd? Because they
can afford to be.
Vicki Vale: You're insane!
Joker: I thought I was a Pisces.
