Goofs

Continuity: When cadets Kelly and Carla walk to Kelly's house to pick out dresses for the dance, they are wearing bags across their shoulders. As they enter the house, the bags are gone. Continuity: When Kelly does her impromptu routine with Jennifer on the field, her rifle disappears. Continuity: When Major Rigby picks up Kelly's dropped rifle, it is pointing in a different direction than when she dropped it a second before. CHAR: Sir calls Brad "Cadet Captain Rigby", instead of Cadet Major Rigby when telling Kelly she made the drill team. Continuity: When Kelly drops the rope down to save her dad, it is clearly long enough. Then it's too short, then in the next shot the rope is long again. SYNC: When at Kelly's trial, Carla says "It's just paint", when you can tell she says something else. FAIR: When Cadet Kelly is sentenced to the drill team, her rank on the shoulders of her jacket is not visible. Though she has the rank insignia on her shirt, her shirt should be devoid of rank since she is a new Cadet and has not been promoted. However, at the end of the movie it is explained that Kelly may have forgotten what everyone was wearing. FAIR: There are numerous errors in Sir's uniform, however at the end of the movie it is explained that Kelly may have forgotten what everyone was wearing. |

Kelly Collins: [to Brad Rigby, while shining boots] Sir, I borrow some spit, Sir? Promise to pay you back! Carla: Everything here is by the book. Kelly Collins: Thanks for the warning Carla, but I would really like to try and retain my individuality around here. [repeated line] Brad Rigby: And that's an order. [last lines] Kelly Collins: [narrating] Since this is my first autobiography, I might not have gotten everything right. The events are true, the feelings are genuine, and my memoirs are finished. But, I might've forgotten what everyone was wearing. Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone: [to Brad about Kelly] Once a maggot, always a maggot. Kelly Collins: [to Jennifer] I hate heights. I am even hoping not to get too tall! Kelly Collins: [to her Mother] Military school? No, no. Like, like where they wear uniforms and they march all around together? You can't do this to me, Mom. I'm not going! [first lines] Kelly Collins: [narrating voice over] Hey, I always known there are some stories that have to be told, but I never realized my memoirs would be one of them. Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone: You're on my list, maggot. Kelly Collins: You'd be on mine if I had one. Carla: First lesson: Zip it and listen. Kelly Collins: Two things I have never mastered. Brad Rigby: [to Jennifer] Well at least someone knows how to get down and dirty. Carla: My client would like to point out that it's just paint - it'll wash out. Brad Rigby: This concludes the proceedings. Deliberations will begin immediately. Kelly Collins: Next year, we'll be even better. If you and I can work on routines together, there's no telling what... Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone: Actually... there's not going to be a next year for me. You see, my Father got transferred to Europe, so I'm moving. [pauses] Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone: But I do have one wish for you, Cadet. That you become a platoon leader, and have to deal with a little maggot... [laughs] Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone: Just like you. |
