Revealing mistakes: When we first see Mac sleeping suspended in the stasis chamber at start of the film, the two wires that keep him "levitated" are visible. Continuity: When Valerie, Candy and the aliens are driving down the street Valerie says, "I can't believe this is happening," and Candy is putting on hairspray with one hand and the other hand is styling her hair. In the close-up shot Candy's reply she is holding a pink mirror and a hairspray bottle. Continuity: When Valerie, Candy and the aliens stop next to the girls in Jeep, one them says, "Aren't you Terry Harpers brother?" Wiploc replies the same way and keeps his mouth wide open, but in the wide-shot of Candy talking he has his hands on his face and is smiling. Continuity: When Valerie, Candy and the aliens stop at the club, there is bag of fast-food on the dashboard that wasn't there before. Continuity: When Demone loses the dance competition against Zeebo, he is kneeling with his head on top of the bars in the cage he's in. In the close-up shot, his head is under and sticking through the bars. Crew: When Valerie turns on the kitchen light with Ted's football in her hands, the shadow of a small fuzzy object can be seen waving around on the left side of the wall. (widescreen version only) Continuity: When Valerie picks up Ted's LPs, the cover of one of his speakers is missing, but in the shot where Valerie is lying on the couch tossing them into the fire, both speakers have covers. Continuity: When Zeebo starts to go up the dancing cage, we cut to Demone going up too, and on the right-hand side of the screen Zeebo's feet are seen dangling because he's sitting up there already. Then we cut back to still Zeebo going up. (widescreen version only) Continuity: When Valerie is watching is TV there is can of Minute Maid Orange Soda and an empty glass. When Valerie turns off the TV and answers the phone, the glass is half-filled with soda. Continuity: When Woody, Wiploc and Zeebo pull up to the gas station a little boy is seen standing far off to the distance at his mother's car. In the next shot he's at the Woody's car with his toy gun pointed at Zeebo and says, " Bang! Bang!" (widescreen version only) Revealing mistakes: As Zeebo is kissing Tanya, the device used to make his ears wiggle is briefly visible. Revealing mistakes: As Mac is kissing Valerie and the space-ship lifts off, you can briefly see through Macs head. Crew: During the MTV scum scene, you can see the crew and camera in the mirror as the actors come into the main room from the hallway. Fact errors: When Wiploc and Zeebo steal Woody's "van" there are three foot pedals indicating a standard transmission, but they change from Reverse to Forward and back using a column shift for an automatic transmission. |

Woody: Waste your brain; wax your board; pray for waves. Candy: Have a mental margarita. Valerie: As if things weren't bad enough, now I've been abducted by aliens. Candy: Just because they're aliens doesn't mean they can't be dates. Valerie: Eat me, I'm a cupcake! [Ted sees a bowling ball embedded in his computer monitor] Ted: But they said the Commodore would withstand anything! Valerie: I didn't want you to think Earth girls were easy. Mac: What is "easy"? Valerie: [kissing him] This is "easy". Candy: I see split ends are universal. Lost in space with no conditioner, eh? Valerie: No, this is the Valley. Finland is the capital of Norway. Mac: Are we limp and hard to manage? [from the song "'Cause I'm A Blonde"] Candy: I took an IQ test and I flunked it, of course / I can't spell VW, but I got a Porsche. [from the song "'Cause I'm A Blonde"] Candy: I just want to say that being chosen as this month's Miss August is like a compliment I'll remember for as long as I can. Right now I'm a freshman in my fourth year at UCLA, but my goal is to become a veterinarian, 'cause I love children. [from the song "'Cause I'm A Blonde"] Candy: 'Cause I'm a blonde! B-L-... I don't know! Woody: [on the phone to Valerie, as cops attack him] I gotta go, Val - I'm gettin' my butt kicked! Candy: If you wanna be a femme fatale, you can't rest on your L'Oréals! Candy: Grab the bleach, she's seen the light! Mac: Uh, Joe, take us to hospital, please. [smiles] Joe the Cop: Hey, clown, you're going to the slammer! Mac: [looks at Mike the cop, then at Valerie] We go to slammer first. Valerie: Mac, use your love touch on them. Then they'll come on to me, they'll be putty in my hands. Mac: You want sex with Joe and Mike? Valerie: [Franticly to Candy] A UFO landed in my pool and they captured me but we made friends and I fed them Pop-Tarts and they're here now but Ted's coming home tonight so we've got to cut their hair. Owner of Beauty Shop: What did you say? Valerie: Oh, nothing. I'm on drugs. Valerie: [answering phone] Hello? Oh, Candy! The worst thing in the world happened! [pause] No, Bambi's fine. It's Ted. Yeah, the blond thing did not work. [the aliens have landed] Valerie: There's a giant blow dryer in my pool. Zeebo: [imitating Candy] Oh, my God. You're like totally black! Wiploc: You have liplock for Wiploc? |
