Goofs
|
Continuity: In the final fights with Raizo, Takeshi, and other ninjas, Raizo kills the ninjas and blood is shown. In subsequent shots of the whole setting during the fight, the blood disappears and reappears subsequently. Continuity: In the scene where Mika is having lunch with Maslow in the park, the amount of Maslow's drink keeps changing between takes. FAIR: In the hotel, Mika tells Raizo that she doesn't smoke. Later in the movie when Raizo is recovering on the bed, Mika is seen smoking. However, this due to her doing what Raizo had earlier done for her, masking her scent with smoke from a cigarette. Revealing mistakes: When the German Police arrives at the hotel, the sirens sound like American sirens. However, German police cars have a completely different sound. Revealing mistakes: There is one shot of Raizo walking through Berlin that was probably not shot on location, as the German in the advertisement in the shop window behind him is nonsensical. PLOT: When Mika and Raizo were trying to flee the warehouse where Raizo was being held in custody for interrogation, Raizo seemed to know where Mika's Car was located even though he wasn't supposed to. FAIR: Since Mika gave Raizo the homing capsule, his former ninja colleagues shouldn't have been able to leave the country with him. However, the authorities would have had to let the clan take Raizo back to their home dojo in order to locate it. SYNC: In the scene where Mika gets back into the car in the parking garage of the warehouse, when the Ninjas start to attack her car and she starts it by pushing the start button, the Tachometer swings to the right and appears to "rev up". Therefore the sound effects man put a revving engine noise into the scene. The tachometer going to the right is just a test at start up of the car. SYNC: When Raizo is training in his apartment, after the final katana spin, you hear the clang of a katana hitting stone when it should be hitting a wooden floor. Revealing mistakes: When Raizo is training in his apartment, after the final katana spin, the camera shows Raizo face-on and you can clearly see he has an empty hand. Revealing mistakes: Raizo is making tea. The teapot whistles. But when Raizo takes the teapot from the stove, there is no whistle on the teapot's spout. Continuity: Through out the entire movie blood is spraying and gushing out of people getting killed, but when ever the ground is shown there is only a few drops of blood. The amount of blood being shown would create puddles on the ground. |

Raizo: [to Ozuno] This is not my family. You are not my Father. And the breath I take after I kill you will be the first breath of my life. Ozunu: Weakness compels strength, betrayer begets blood; this is the Law of the Nine Clans. Mika Coretti: I know you can't hear me, so I'm sure this doesn't matter but I'm going to say it anyway. I'm just a forensic researcher. It's like a fancy way of saying I'm a librarian. By myself I can't do anything to help you, but I wanted to thank you for saving my life. And I hope you can forgive me for this. Mika Coretti: So you said you found something? Ryan Maslow: Yeah, I was digging around to see what I could come up with and I found this. A report, friend of mine in Moscow tipped me to it. It was written during the height of the Cold War by a high-ranking KGB Agent named Aleksei Sabotin. In it he raises the posibility that a number of political assassinations were conducted by an ancient but very sophisticated network he calls The Nine Clans. Mind you, he doesn't call them Ninjas. Mika Coretti: What happened to him? Ryan Maslow: [jokingly] The same thing that's going to happen to me if I hang around with you; kicked out of the service for mental instability. Mika Coretti: You believe it now, don't you? Ryan Maslow: Ninjas? You've got to be joking! Mika Coretti: Well then why are you doing all this? Ryan Maslow: I don't know. But I can guarantee you it has nothing to do with the fact that you're the most attractive researcher I have ever worked with. Ryan Maslow: I've investigated World Bank organizations, drug cartels, arms dealers, I've never faced this kind of thing! For Ninjas its fucking unbelievable! Kingpin: [to Raizo] Its going to take more than a knitting needle to fuck me up boy! Hollywood: [to Tattoo Master] What did you just say, Old Man? I know you didn't just disrespect me, did you? Are you that fucking stupid? You disrespect me, I'll tattoo the ceiling with your fucking brains! |
