| Plot: | It's the Easter weekend, when many college kids with raging hormones head to Palm Springs looking for fun with members of the opposite sex. Among those heading to Palm Springs this year are a college basketball team including medical student Jim Munroe, and comedian Biff Roberts; Doug 'Stretch' Fortune, a Hollywood stunt man originally from Texas; Eric Dean, a rich playboy neglected by his equally playboy father; Beverly Hills socialite and Hawaii college student Gayle Lewis, who is not all she appears to be; and tomboy Amanda North. It's the worst week in the year for Palm Springs Chief of Police Dixon, the official ruler of order. This year will be worse for Chief Dixon as his pretty daughter, Bunny Dixon, although a responsible young woman, is the same age as the town's invaders. The unofficial ruler of order is Naomi Yates, the proprietor of one of the local motels where the kids stay, she who usually has enough to do in taking care of her precocious nine year old son, Boom Boom. Another adult supervisor this year is Fred Campbell, the basketball team coach who came along unexpectedly to ensure his players stay out of trouble. Through the hijinks of the weekend, the kids meet, fall in love, and then really get to know each other to see if there is a future past the weekend. |

Goofs

SYNC: Eric Dean drives a big cushy Thunderbird with a V-8 engine with automatic. When he's peeling rubber it sounds more like a 4 cylinder Austin Healy. Continuity: When Eric Dean (Robert Conrad) picks up "Gayle" (Connie Stevens) at the rest stop, she asks about leaving her luggage on the bus. He tells here that she can pick it up at the station. When they get to the hotel, her bags are in his trunk. Continuity: When Ty Hardin (Stretch) is pulled from his wrecked vehicle, his left knee is injured. Later, in the hospital, it is his right knee that is in a sling. Oops! |

[Eric dials his home phone number from a payphone rest stop] Henry Blanchard: [into the phone] Hello? Eric Dean: [into the phone] Oh, hello Mr. Blanchard. Is my father in? Henry Blanchard: He's not here. Your father and the "new" Mrs. Dean, number six, left from Reno two days ago on their sunny honeymoon to Acapulco, Mexico. Eric Dean: [groans] He went and did it again, huh? He didn't say if he was planning to stop in Palm Springs for a couple of days? Henry Blanchard: No, he didn't mention it. Eric Dean: He does know that I'm staying here and where to locate me? Henry Blanchard: Yes, yes, I told him twice as you requested. Eric Dean: Well, if he calls give him a message. Just tell him that, "Eric sends his regards". Henry Blanchard: Sure, I'll give him the message. Eric Dean: No, wait. Better make it "your son". Henry Blanchard: Your son? Eric Dean: Yes. If he calls, say: "your son sends his regards". "Eric" may not ring a bell. [Eric angrily hangs up] |
