| Plot: | Everyone deserves a chance to follow their dreams, but some people only get one shot. Tyler Gage is a rebel from the wrong side of Baltimore¹s tracks and the only thing that stands between him and an unfulfilled life are his dreams of one day making it out of there. Nora is a privileged ballet dancer attending Baltimore¹s ultra-elite Maryland School of the Arts -- and the only thing standing in the way of her obviously brilliant future is finding a great dance partner for her senior showcase. When trouble with the law lands Tyler with a community service gig at Maryland School of the Arts, he arrives as an angry outsider, until his skills as a gifted street dancer draw Nora¹s attention. Now, as sparks fly between them, both on and off stage, Tyler realizes he has just one performance to prove that he can step up to a life far larger than he ever imagined. |

Goofs

Continuity: When Mac discovers Tyler is dancing at the school for the first time and they go outside, Mac's shirt is buttoned on the lowest button. It then switches to being buttoned on the second lowest button, and then back to the lowest button. Continuity: When Tyler is dancing at the club/party, he pops his collar. They go to a close up, and his collar is down, but when they pull back out, his collar is popped again. Continuity: When they are standing looking over the bay, we can see the port on the other side. There is a large ship which is being loaded. After there is a close up of the two talking and they are about to begin dancing we see the cranes are up and the ship has vanished. Continuity: When Tyler is dancing in the last dance, after he lifts Nora he puts on a shirt and his hat. When he puts on his hat, the cap is turned to the left, one shot later the cap of the hat is turned backwards. Continuity: After hearing that Brett signed a deal with a record company without Miles, Nora runs up the stairs upset to find Brett. Before she runs up the stairs her hair is curly and when she finds Brett and starts getting angry with him her hair is straight. Continuity: SPOILER: When Skinny is on the floor, dead in his brothers arms, you see Skinny's right arm switch places in different shots. Continuity: When Nora is first talking to Tyler about him being her partner, her necklace switches from side to side. Continuity: When Miles comes to take his laptop in the Dance Room, he has his laptop in his hands when leaving, after talking to Tyler. However, when Nora comes in with Brett to talk about finding her new dance partner, Miles' laptop is back again at the table in the background. A while later, his laptop is not there anymore. Continuity: When Nora is talking to Director Gordon about Tyler being her new dance partner, there are a few papers lying around on her desk. In the next shot, the paper is tidy. But after Tyler repeats himself as "adequate", her desk is back to messy again. Continuity: In the scene where Tyler goes to the Maryland School of the Arts to apologize to Nora before the ballet class, they are walking along the side of the school, but as they walk, they don't make any progress down the sidewalk. The scene was clearly filmed in segments that don't coordinate. Continuity: When Nora is sitting at the lunch table and takes her hat off, the hat switches sided. It may even be a different hat altogether. GEOG: When Nora shows Tyler the spot near the ocean where she used to go as a kid, the sun is setting on the the ocean. New York is on thee east coast. The sun rises on the east and sets on the west, the sun would not have been setting over the ocean in New York. GEOG: The movie takes place in Baltimore, Maryland. When Tyler and Nora are dancing with the bay in the background you can see the Cheasapeake Bay Bridge, which is in Annapolis, Maryland - a good 45 minutes away. |

Nora: Catch me! [she ballerina jumps into Tyler's arms] Tyler Gage: [he catches her and holds her] Now what? Nora: Okay, um, I get it. You're not gonna use me to get out of cleaning the windows, even if you were capable of dancing. Tyler Gage: I'm not trying to get out of anything. And I know you saw me the other day. Nora: Thank you, but, umm, I can find someone else. Tyler Gage: [Goes to leave] Aight. I was just trying to help. Nora: Okay, wait. [He stops and turns around] Catch me. Tyler Gage: [She runs towards him and he catches her, then he lets her fall in his arms] Now what? Nora: Um... put me down. [He puts her down] Tyler Gage: I'll do it. Nora: Do what? Tyler Gage: I don't know, whatever y'all trying to do out here... Nora: You wanna lift me? Are you kidding? Tyler Gage: Does it look like I'm kidding? Tyler Gage: Is... is this where you kill me? Miles Darby: I'm not saying anything Tyler Gage: [laughing] Come on man! Tell me, have you seen a tear? Mac Carter: [seeing tyler teaching a bunch of people the dance he and Nora made up] Man, what is this? Tyler Gage: It's part of my community service Skinny Carter: yo lemme do it this time. [talking about stealing a car] Mac Carter: Skin, you the look out. Skinny Carter: But why can't I do it this time? Tyler Gage: Can you do it? Skinny Carter: Yeah. Tyler Gage: Let him do it then. [Tyler pushes it back] Camille: Oh yeah, now you give it back. Director Gordon: And you say that he can dance? Nora: He's... adequate. Tyler Gage: Adequate? Director Gordon: See. That's my concern. Skinny Carter: [coming back from playing a basketball game] Man, I was droppin' dimes today! Mac Carter: Man, you tripped over your own shoes! Tyler Gage: Twice actually, but you rolled outta the second one pretty nice, you played it off pretty cool. Camille: Are you going to jail? Tyler Gage: No, I'm not going to jail, but they will have to take me to jail if you don't start knocking. Get outta here. Miles Darby: I left my G-4 at home. Tyler Gage: [coughing] It's in his bag. Skinny Carter: So, can I still come to the party? Mac Carter: Skinny! Hey come on! Skinny Carter: Man, he ain't sayin' nothin' bout me. He said y'all couldn't go to the party. He didn't say nothin' bout Skinny. Nothing! Mac Carter: Will you shut up? Miles Darby: Look, I can play it alright. I just prefer playin' wit myself. Tyler Gage: Woa, what? Lucy Avila: He makes it too easy. Miles Darby: No, not playin' wit myself. Just listen. Miles Darby: If you wanna be with someone who doesn't appreciate what a good thing he's got that's 100% your business. I just thought you'd be smart enough to know you deserve better.
