Fact errors: Modern airline windows are made of Lexan and do not shatter when struck by objects. They are also smaller than the ones depicted in this film. Additionally, a bullet will pierce Lexan but will not take the wall with it. Crew: Reflection of cameraman on side of car in the cemetery and on the side of the GMC when Chen gets out of the taxi. SYNC: Mark Sheridan speaks without moving his lips when he visits the friend who grudgingly helps him out. FAIR: Cosmo is seen wearing his sunglasses after Royce breaks them. However, in several scenes, you can clearly see that the broken arm has been taped back on. Crew: Camera equipment reflected in truck when first hijacked by Mark Sheridan. FAIR: Noah was shot first in the chest, then in the shoulder (blood visible on his jacket). Therefore, the report of "multiple gunshot wounds" is accurate. Continuity: When Sam Gerard is shot by Sheridan, in the swamp scene, his position on the ground is different. Continuity: Sam moves between cuts after he has been shot at the swamp. FAIR: After the plane crash, an Illinois State Police car can be seen in the background. The plane crashes 20 minutes (by air) outside of Memphis, and the border is about 200 miles from Memphis, so it's (barely) possible for the car to get there that fast. Crew: At the beginning of the film when Sheridan is forced to lose control of his vehicle, a camera angle shows the truck coming toward the viewer. At the next shot if you look to the left of the screen you can see the birdcage style housing box attached to a pole. Fact errors: Chen is a cultural attache at the Chinese Mission to the U.N. However, scenes and dialog all show him coming in and out of the Chinese Consulate in NY. They are actually two separate missions, and the plaque on the Consulate entry with a red tian-an-men image is certainly a fabrication. All Chinese diplomatic and consular missions use a standard brass name plaque with only text on it. The national emblem is also displayed at the entry but it is a round figure. Continuity: Gerard's jacket buttons itself between shots at the cocktail party. Continuity: Cigars appear and disappear in Gerard's shirt pocket while reviewing the garage tapes. Continuity: After the plane crashed upside down, the guns were removed from the gun rack right side up, (i.e. stock down). If the plane was upside down, the stock of the rifle would be upward. Crew: Reflected in the door of the car while the crew is chasing Chen in New York. Continuity: The Chevrolet Caprice used in the film is first shown without the two police style spot lights on it while driving through New York City, then when it arrives at the cemetery, the spotlights are on the car. Fact errors: Due to FAA regulations, prisoners are not allowed to be chained to any part of an airplane. Crew: Reflected in the side of black car as it pulls into the cemetery. Continuity: When Sam watches Agent Barrows drive in the funeral procession coming into the cemetery there are dents clearly visible on the drivers side door of Barrows' car. A few second later when the scene switches to Barrows parking his car and getting out the dents are gone. Clearly a different car was used for the two scenes. Continuity: At the cemetery, the taxi cab's hubcaps disappear and re-appear between shots. Crew: Shadow of camera when Sheridan sits down on the train. Crew: The shadow of the helicopter just after the swamp scenes. Miscellaneous: When Chen is first spotted on Sheridan's surveillance monitor, the surveillance camera is moving towards Chen before Sheridan reaches for the cameras remote control to move the camera himself. Continuity: The plane goes into the water just off the riverbank, yet when Gerard opens the door it looks to be at least 150 feet away from the shore. GEOG: After the chase in the cemetery in Queens, New York, Sheridan jumps the wall and crosses the train tracks. A train arrives, but it is a METRA train, coming from suburban Chicago. Continuity: In the grain pile on the ship, the Words "U.S. Marshal" on the back of Chief Deputy Marshal Samuel Gerard's jacket appear and disappear between shots. Revealing mistakes: After the bag switch on the crossing, the bag man hails a cab which is clearly marked "off duty". GEOG: When Samuel Gerard is pointing to places on the map of Illinois he is pointing nowhere near Golconda or Metropolis. Also when he points to the Alexander County line he actually points to the border of Williamson and Johnson Counties. Alexander County is 45 miles from Williamson County. Revealing mistakes: When Mark crashes the car into the SUV, there is clearly no-one in it. Continuity: When Chen is on the roof of the Chapel at the cemetery, he is shooting from his left shoulder. As Sheridan speeds away in the Lincoln, Chen moves across the roof and shoots out the back window of the car. During a quick cut facing Chen showing him taking the shots, he is shooting from his right shoulder. Continuity: In the scene when the marshal team were taking Newman to the hospital, both of Cosmo's arms were fine. In the scene at the marshal station, Cosmo has a sling on his right arm. Revealing mistakes: The GMC Suburban the team uses changes from a C1500 2x4 to a K1500 4x4 multiple times during the movie in different scenes. The GMC should not be changing, it is the US Marshall's vehicle. Also, the rims are different on various scenes. Crew: When Sheridan jumps onto the train from the roof of the station, an airbag is visible on the other side of the train. GEOG: When Sheridan jumps off of the Loreli building which is supposed to be in Queens, NY he winds up on top of a Metro North commuter train which only operates in the boroughs of The Bronx & Manhattan. The Queens location of the Loreli Bldg is confirmed when Newman's body is delivered to Elmhurst Hospital which is in Queens, NY. Continuity: When Royce is covering Sheridan's mouth as he lies in bed, you can see the scalpel blade has a safety cover on it. As the scene progresses, there is no time for Royce to remove the cover yet it disappears in time for him to cut Sheridan's hand free. Miscellaneous: Part of this movie was filmed at Reelfoot Lake, in Tennessee. In the end-titles, the lake is misspelled as "Realfoot Lake". CHAR: When the concierge at the apartment building identifies Sheridan, Noah asks him for a line, but he starts dialing before the concierge finishes accessing the outside line. CHAR: When Deputy Henry calls Deputy Gerard from Chicago, he reports Marie purchased a ticket to NYC. Garard instructs Henry to get on the plan with her and that agents will meet him at JFK. Henry never told Gerard which airport. Continuity: In the scene where Sam Gerard is walking over to the apartment building wearing the bird costume, he kicks off the bird shoes, and the left shoe is clearly about to land on the hood of the black car. However, in the next shot, both shoes have landed in the street. Continuity: When Gerard is in the room where Noah is shot he uses his radio to call for an ambulance, but this would not be possible seeing as how he turned it off while hunting for Sheridan and did not turn it back on to call for the ambulance. Continuity: In the scene where Sheridan and Gerard are on the roof and Sheridan jumps to the train, the sky goes from overcast to partly cloudy several times. Continuity: When Noah enters the senior's apartment, the door is open but when Sam shows up after Noah is shot, he kicks in the door. Miscellaneous: In the scene where the prisoner on the plane asks to use the toilet the guard says "hold it we land in 20 minutes", the prisoner takes 5-10 minutes to use the toilet. Yet when the plane has to make an emergency landing the co-pilot says there is nowhere close to land. Continuity: When Gerard is getting the last prisoner loose on the plane, the prisoner is handcuffed but when the prisoner is nearing the shore his hands/arms are clearly free. GEOG: In the chase scene in the Kentucky swamp, the rear of one of the boat's driver's seats reads "Cypress Point." Cypress Point is in California. CHAR: During the interrogation scene, the Detective places his glasses on the table. Wesley Snipes falls onto these glasses and the lenses clearly break when he is removing the arm. They are returned to the detective. Later in bed, he takes them from the case and notices the arm is missing, however he puts them on to continue reading - apparently not noticing that the lenses are no longer in the frame. Fact errors: When the prisoner on the plane ask to use the toilet the guard says hold it and that they will be landing in 20 minutes, but in reality guards are not allowed to tell any prisoner the time frame of any transport especially when it is a federal prisoner transport. |

John Royce: I thought we didn't take our work personally. Sam Gerard: We don't. I do. [after Gerard puts John Royce in handcuffs] John Royce: Is this guy crazy? Cosmo Renfro: No, but he's a carrier. Cosmo Renfro: The Great Sam Gerard. Sam Gerard: Yes, I am. Cosmo Renfro: And you always have to win. Sam Gerard: Yes, I do. Sam Gerard: Do you have a weapon? John Royce: Yeah, a big one. How about you? John Royce: You are really on my very last nerve. You are a mind-boggling pain in my ass. Catherine Walsh: Never one to be afraid of the obvious. I admire that in a man, Sam. Sam Gerard: Have I done something? Catherine Walsh: Yeah. You hit your prisoner while he was in handcuffs; that's against the rules. If he had any brains, he'd sue us. Sam Gerard: He bit one of my kids; he got smacked on the head! So what? Catherine Walsh: So what? Sam Gerard: Yeah. So what? Catherine Walsh: 27 stitches is "so what." Sam Gerard: He needed a smack on the head. That's what he got. Cosmo Renfro: [responding to Michael's statement on the news] 27 stitches my ass. Detective Caldwell: Hello Mr. Warren. I'm detective Caldwell. [hands Sheridan a piece of paper] Mark J. Sheridan: [looks at the piece of paper] Yeah. Let me help you with that. That's not me. Detective Caldwell: Well, are you aware that it is illegal to carry a hand gun in Chicago? Mark J. Sheridan: Hey. Have you tried to drive a truck on the Dan Ryan at 4 o'clock in the morning without a handgun? Detective Caldwell: Well, what about 63rd street parking garage in New York City? Mark J. Sheridan: What about it? Detective Caldwell: Ever been to New York? Mark J. Sheridan: Nope. Detective Caldwell: Never? Mark J. Sheridan: Never. Detective Caldwell: Then, you wouldn't know about the double homicide that took place there last January. Mark J. Sheridan: Guess not. Detective Caldwell: The evidence that we've researched from there flagged this. [opens up another piece of paper] Detective Caldwell: This is a federal arrest warrent for Mark Roberts. The Prints from the crime scene, match yours Mark J. Sheridan: [looks at the warrant] This is bullshit. [trying to stay calm] Mark J. Sheridan: Let me talk to a lawyer. Detective Caldwell: You'll get one after your prosecution hearing. [2 people come to restrain Sheridan] Detective Caldwell: You're going back to New York, Mr. Roberts. Mark J. Sheridan: [being restrained] Back? I've never even been to New York. What are you talking about? I know nothing about a double homicide. Detective Caldwell: Get'em out of here. Mark J. Sheridan: I'm telling you, you've got the wrong man. Sam Gerard: [Referring to the Glock as he is changing magazines] These things are so cool. They can shoot underwater, pour sand in them and they'll shoot. They shoot every time. Sam Gerard: Cosmo, where are you? Cosmo Renfro: [shouting over the New York traffic] I'm in traffic! I'm in New York City! Where the hell do you think I am? We're on our way! Cosmo Renfro: Sam. Sam Gerard: Cosmo. Cosmo Renfro: We're still at the Chinese Consulate. No sign of Chen since he went in. Sam Gerard: Get the N.Y.P.D. on him. I want you and Royce here at Queens Hills Cemetery. Cosmo Renfro: Where the hell is Queens Hills Cemetery? Sam Gerard: Ask a cop. Cosmo Renfro: I think you owe me an apology. Sam Gerard: I know. I know, but... Cosmo Renfro: But what? Sam Gerard: I don't even like you! Cosmo Renfro: You know, you owe me an apology. Sam Gerard: Yeah, I know, Cosmo, I know. But uh... Cosmo Renfro: But what? Sam Gerard: [exhales] But I don't even *like* you, man. [everyone laughs] Come on, let's go drink a toast to a good deputy named Noah Woodrow Newman. Deputy Marshal Bobby Biggs: If we're going to drink to Newman, we better use milk. Sam Gerard: [looking at Royce's Gun] Got a back-up weapon? John Royce: Never had the need. Sam Gerard: Get one. [hands back Royce's gun] Sam Gerard: Keep it in your suit unless I tell you to take it out. Get yourself a Glock and lose that nickel-plated sissy pistol. [Gerard busts open a bathroom door at the Lorelei building with his gun drawn and finds a terrified elderly man inside] Sam Gerard: US Marshals, are you in here alone? Are you in here alone? Elderly Man: Yes! [after killing Royce] Sam Gerard: Welcome home Mark, wanna start running again? Mark J. Sheridan: I think I'm going back to bed. [while pulling a concealed gun from his suit] John Royce: I guess you'll just have to slap the cuffs on me, and take me in... Sam Gerard: Remember, Sheridan could be anywhere people, stay alive. Deputy Marshal Savannah Cooper: [Royce uses Renfro's sunglasses to pick the lock on the handcuffs] I've never seen that before. Sam Gerard: I have. Cosmo Renfro: Yeah, well, the guy just broke my fucking glasses! Sam Gerard: [Seeing Sheridan picking the lock on his handcuffs] Goin' somewhere? Mark J. Sheridan: Na. Sam Gerard: You play any tricks, I gotta shoot you! Catherine Walsh: [seeing Lamb standing up] Don't get up Mr. Lamb. You make a better target sitting down. Bertram Lamb, Security Service Director: I'm guessing that our visit does not deliver our fugitive. Catherine Walsh: Not with all of the horseshit you've been handing us. Bertram Lamb, Security Service Director: Excuse me? Catherine Walsh: For starters, the fingerprints you have planted at the scene. [shows a picture of a hand of a mysterious figure holding a briefcase] Catherine Walsh: You want the illustrated version? [hands Lamb the picture] Bertram Lamb, Security Service Director: [after looking at the picture] Can you excuse us gentlemen? [the men that were in Lamb's meeting leave] Special Agent Frank Barrows: Where did you get these photographs? Catherine Walsh: Off of U.N. surveillance tapes. Special Agent Frank Barrows: That is highly classified material. Bertram Lamb, Security Service Director: Do you know anything about this agent Barrows? Special Agent Frank Barrows: I'll look into it. Sam Gerard: I'll tell you what you should look into, is how you got those fingerprints in the first place, but let me save you the trouble because you had them on file because our boy worked for you just like the two dead guys. Is that right or wrong? Catherine Walsh: [sternly] We want some answers Mr. Lamb. Or I'm on the next plane to Washington. Sam Gerard: Get the tapes from the U.N. surveillance. John Royce: I don't think we have clearance for those. Sam Gerard: Get the clearance, get the tapes, don't tell me what we can or can't do! Deputy Marshal Bobby Biggs: [shouting at Chen to drop his gun] Drop it or I'll drop you! Do it! Deputy Marshal Noah Newman: [seeing a taxi cab leaving the cemetary] What's going on here, Sam? Sam Gerard: I don't know. but, I bet Sheridan does though. Sam Gerard: [watching some surveillance tapes] Hey. it looks like your agent friends are intercepting this. What do you know about this Royce? John Royce: I don't know anything. John Royce: [showing Marie pictures of the dead agents] This is Sam Harmon, one of my friends, Sheridan killed him with his own bare hands. So was Neil Kazunski. Kazunski had three little kids. Marie Bineaux, Mark's Girlfriend: Stop Doing this to me. Even if I knew this man. It's not a crime, he's done nothing wrong. I haven't heard from him. Deputy Marshal Noah Newman: So, you *do* know him. John Royce: You just lied to us. Deputy Marshal Noah Newman: That's a federal offense. Deputy Marshal Savannah Cooper: [after seeing Royce uses Cosmo's sunglasses to get himself out of Gerard's handcuffs] That's pretty slick. Cosmo Renfro: Yeah. Pretty slick, the guy just broke my fuckin' glasses. John Royce: [seeing Cosmo about to light up a cigar] Would you mind not lighting that? Cosmo Renfro: [continuing to light up his Cigar] Yes. Stark: [seeing Sheridan taking the cigar boxes, which are supplies for him to acheive his asignment] Now, make sure you take it all. I don't want you back here again. Mark J. Sheridan: You don't believe me? Stark: I'm going as far as I'm prepared to go. I'll catch the rest on CNN. [as Sheridan leaves] Stark: Hey, good luck to you man. Sam Gerard: [points shotgun to head] OK, Michael. Regular or extra crispy? Sam Gerard: [coming in and seeing Sheridan holding Royce at gunpoint] Freeze it. It is a long day for everybody. So, let's end it on a positive note. Mark J. Sheridan: For me or for you? Sam Gerard: If everybody walks away breathing, everybody wins. Mark J. Sheridan: How long you're gonna let me live if I let you take me in, huh? Did you forget about the plane? Sam Gerard: Look around you, you're caught. [Sheridan looks around to see the rest of Gerard's team closing in on him] Sam Gerard: C'mon Roberts. Let's go home. Mark J. Sheridan: No. You go home. [shoots Gerard in his left side] Sam Gerard: [speaking to the hicks in the swamp] Which one of you knows the most about this terrain? [most of the hicks raise their hands] Sam Gerard: Alright, which one of you is the ugliest, most inbred country son of a bitch out here? [hicks start laughing and most raise their hands] Sam Gerard: [old fella spits out a gob of chew spit] You come with me. Mark J. Sheridan: [punches Barrows in the face and draws his gun] You son of a bitch. Why did you do it? Why did you do it? Special Agent Frank Barrows: What are you talking about? Mark J. Sheridan: You don't know what I'm talking about? You're the one who's selling secrets to the Chinese. [throws Barrows a top secret report] Here. This report tells about the invasion of Taiwan, the strategic defense of South Korea. Make sense now? Special Agent Frank Barrows: Please, I swear to god, I don't know what you're taking about. Mark J. Sheridan: [becoming upset] Don't lie to me! Special Agent Frank Barrows: Don't kill me, don't kill me! I'll do whatever you want. Mark J. Sheridan: Don't worry I'm not gonna kill you, you're goona make me righteous again. Now, why did you set me up. [points his gun at Barrows' crotch] Why did you set me up? Special Agent Frank Barrows: Lamb was closing in, we needed a fall guy. With you caught red-handed, we were free and clear. Mark J. Sheridan: Who's we? Special Agent Frank Barrows: I can't. Mark J. Sheridan: [points his gun at Barrows' head] Who is we? Special Agent Frank Barrows: If i tell you, he'll kill me. Mark J. Sheridan: Then he won't get the chance. Distracted Driver: [talking on his cell phone] Hopper told you? What the hell are you doing listening to what comes out of that idiot's mouth? You probably cost this whole country the entire goddamn account. [his cigar falls out of his mouth and takes his eyes off of the road] Oh Jesus, Mary and Joseph. [is about to crash into some cars] Oh, shit. [turns suddenly] John Royce: [after showing he could undo his handcuffs] What's next, fellas, cow tipping? Cosmo Renfro: You still owe me for that jogging suit. Sam Gerard: Of course. What you're going to need to do is make out a requisition form, in quadruplicate. You're going to need a white copy, yellow copy, pink copy... |
