| Plot: | It is the late 1980's. At a high school dance, young nerdish-looking Jeremy Melton is spurned & insulted by every girl he asks to dance, except one named Dorothy. Later they start making out under the bleachers until a group of bullies discover them, and Dorothy says Jeremy attacked her. The boys further humiliate Jeremy by violently assaulting him & pulling off his clothes. About 12 years later, those same girls are in their twenties and enjoying the dating scene. But Jeremy has mysteriously disappeared. After one of the girls, Shelley has a date with an arrogant loser, she is savagely murdered in her medical school's anatomy lab by a tall, sinister man dressed in a dark coat and wearing a cherub mask. Just before her death, Shelley received a threatening Valentine's Day card. The other girls soon start receiving similar cards shortly after, and one at a time, they start dying violently. When police inform them that Jeremy Melton has not been seen or heard from for many years, Dorothy speculates that he may have had plastic surgery and worked out to change his appearance. Kate has recently found herself a new boyfriend but Dorothy suspects he may in fact be Jeremy, using his new look to get close to the girls who spurned him so many years before...and seeking revenge... |

Continuity: Kate's Beretta goes from unloaded to cocked and ready to fire, yet all she did was reinsert the clip. Revealing mistakes: Obvious stunt double when Paige gets thrown headfirst into hot tub. Continuity: In the scene where Dorothy is letting Campbell live in her home. He picks up his bag and puts it on his shoulder. Then the next scene when he leans in to kiss her, there is no strap on his shoulder. Then it's back again in the next shot. Revealing mistakes: When the Cherub grabs Ruthie and throws her into the shower glass panel, look very closely and the glass is all smashed before she even touches it. Crew: When Kate is on the phone complaining about the water being cut off, the iron overheats. Kate then runs over to it, and the shadow of a crew member is cast on the iron and ironing board, then moves out of sight. Continuity: When Campbell is in the basement, he drops a book of matches. They fall all over the floor, but in the next shot they change their position and lay in a neat little formation. Continuity: When Adam gives Kate the lollipop as a gift, Kate writes "IOU TLC" on a laundry ticket. As she takes the ticket out her bag, there is the number "6443" printed in red on it. When she hands him the ticket though, the number is now "6335." Continuity: When the Kate gives Adam the note on the back of her dry cleaning ticket she writes it very sloppily, but then towards the end of the movie when she finds Detective Vaugh's head in the pond with the same note next to it, it's written very neatly. Continuity: Shelley is working on a cadaver and has surgical gloves on. When she thinks someone is after her they show a close up of her squeezing the surgical knife, with absolutely no gloves on. Continuity: The Cherub shuts the glass trap to kill Paige, but in one shot the glass thing is open. Continuity: The rose appears beside the champagne near the hot tub a cut too early - it should appear after Paige looks away, but it's there before. Continuity: During several of the death scenes, the amount of blood on the killer's mask changes noticeably. Continuity: After the funeral near the start of the movie Adam kisses Kate on one cheek then the camera changes and we see him pulling away from the other cheek. Continuity: As Shelley runs with the knife, it disappears and reappears in her hand - at one point reappearing in the wrong hand. CHAR: When Shelly is making the incision on the corpse, she says that she is doing a transverse cut. However she was doing a sagittal incision. CHAR: When Shelly is preparing to perform the autopsy apart from she wearing surgical gloves, she should also have worn a lab coat. Continuity: In the end scene, Kate hugs Adam. But in the next shot when Adam takes Kate's hand she is sitting up right. In the next shot, she is hugging him again. CHAR: Shelley refers to her cadaver as a corpse; no medical student would ever do such a thing. Fact errors: Shelley is bothered by seeing the face of her cadaver so she covers it. In fact, the face of the cadaver is usually kept covered from the start of dissection until the dissection of the head, which is done last. Fact errors: A medical student wouldn't be starting a cadaver dissection the night before her final. Fact errors: The cadaver dissection starts with the back of the cadaver, not the stomach. Fact errors: Cadavers, being people who have died, are usually elderly and sickly looking, not young, healthy, and apparently uninjured. Revealing mistakes: 'Chad' the cadaver is seen breathing before Shelley leaves the autopsy table the first time. Continuity: When Shelley meets her friend in the hallway, he drapes his backpack over one shoulder before leaving. In the reverse shot of him leaving, his backpack is missing. Continuity: When Dorothy and Campbell exchange gifts, Dorothy gives Campbell a watch, he opens the box twice. Fact errors: When the killer throws the drill into the hot tub, it blows a circuit in the house. A cordless drill would not do that. |

Dorothy Wheeler: Excuse me, who are you? Ruthie: That's none of your business. Campbell Morris: Don't worry, she's nobody. Ruthie: Yeah, I'm nobody. I'm just the idiot who's still waiting for a return on my Internet investment. [to Campbell Morris] What did you call it? Bleed-Me-Dry.com? Paige Prescott: Does somebody wanna be my Valentine? Dorothy Wheeler: When you are old enough to rent a car, we can talk about your role as my stepmother. Kate Davies: He's no angel, but he's not a killer. [to Lily Voight] Max Raimi: What's the problem? Lily Voight: The problem is that you turned out to be a cheap, hypocritical sleazeball! Max Raimi: Yeah, but you knew that. So... does this mean you're not gonna be my Valentine? Paige Prescott: [sarcastically, to Brian] You brought me upstairs to show me your penis? How sweet! Shelley Fisher: Jason, I'm not a doctor yet, but it's my considered opinion you seek psychiatric help. Soon! Adam Carr: Nice party, Dorothy. Dorothy Wheeler: It blows! Adam Carr: [to Kate Davies] Is everything okay? Dorothy Wheeler: [obviously angry] Oh, yes! Everything's fine, it's just that men SUCK! But, that's no offense to you, Adam. Adam Carr: None taken. Paige Prescott: Detective Vaughn, please remove your hand from my thigh. Det. Leon Vaughn: Okay, where would you like me to put it? Paige Prescott: How about up your ass? [Kate finds Adam drinking] Kate Davies: Which one of the twelve steps this? Adam Carr: Kate! There you are. You know, I have been looking all over for you. Kate Davies: And I wasn't at the bottom of the bottle? Gary Taylor: You look great, Kate. How about a date, Kate? You could be my mate, Kate. Kate Davies: You're scary, Gary. Gary Taylor: This could be our fate, Kate. Jeremy Melton: Ummm, Paige, will you dance with me? Young Paige Prescott: I'd rather be boiled alive. [Shelley reads her Valentine] Shelley Fisher: The journey of love is an arduous trek, My love grows for you as you bleed from your neck. Adam Carr: I'm sorry that I couldn't make it to the art show. Kate Davies: Don't worry, you didn't miss much. Just Dorothy's boyfriend getting attacked by some crazy woman and some really bad art. I mean, the stuff was basically porn! Adam Carr: [smiling] It sounds okay. Dorothy Wheeler: Come on Kate! You've always been the popular one, and Shelley was always the brainy one, and Lily was the fun one, and Paige was the sexy one, and I was the big, fat one! And as far as you're concerned, that's exactly the way that it is. Well, you know what? Screw all of you! [Shelley looks at the male corpse she is about to dissect] Shelley Fisher: Strong silent type, how refreshing! [Dorothy reads her Valentine] Dorothy Wheeler: Roses are red, Violets are Blue, They'll need dental records to identify you. Kate Davies: I haven't really completely broken up with Adam yet. Paige Prescott: But you will. Believe me, relationships don't make U-turns and Adam's a drunk. Kate Davies: He's not a drunk. He's a borderline addictive personality who happens to like alcohol a lot. Adam Carr: All I can think is when someone is that lonely or that angry they can learn to hide it. But inside, it never dies. It just stays there. Eats away at you. Until one day, you have to do something about it. Dorothy Wheeler: Oh, get your hands off me, you mail order bride from HELL! Ruthie: Watch your back... leech! Dorothy Wheeler: [about Campbell] He loves me. Ruthie: He loves your trust fund. Trust me. |
