Goofs

Continuity: At the beginning of the movie, Roy asks his driver to let him off when they reach Waterloo Bridge so that he can walk across, and have the driver pick him up at the other end. The film proper is a flashback that takes place during his stroll. But in the final shot, when they should be driving away from the bridge, we see them starting to drive across it.
DATE: Even though the story takes place during the pre-1920 World War I period, all of Myra's clothes and hairstyles are strictly in the up-to-the-minute 1940 fashion.
DATE: When Roy and Myra are coming out of the Underground station after the air raid near the beginning of the film a traffic light is clearly visible in the top right hand corner. There were no traffic lights in London until 1931.
Revealing mistakes: When Roy travels back down to London from Scotland by express train, the train shown is a Great Western Railway one which did not serve Scotland as it only served routes from Paddington (London) to the West of England and Wales.

Quotes

Myra Lester: I loved you, I've never loved anyone else. I never
shall, that's the truth Roy, I never shall.
Myra Lester: I may never see him again.
Myra Lester: Every parting from you is like a little eternity.
Roy Cronin: Myra, what do you think we're going to do tonight?
Myra Lester: Well, I, I...
Roy Cronin: Oh, you won't have time for that.
Myra Lester: For what?
Roy Cronin: For hesitating! No more hesitating for you!
Myra Lester: No?
Roy Cronin: No!
Myra Lester: Well, what am I going to do instead?
Roy Cronin: You're going to get married.
Roy Cronin: The ballet was beautiful.
Myra Lester: Madame didn't think so.
Roy Cronin: Well, experts never know - it takes outsiders to know,
and I tell you, it was beautiful.
Myra Lester: That certainly proves you're an outsider.
Myra Lester: Hello.
Roy Cronin: Hello [they kiss] You know, I... I thought about you all
last night. Couldn't sleep a wink.
Myra Lester: You managed to remember me at last, then.
Roy Cronin: [laughing] Yes, barely managed. Myra, what do you think
we're going to do tonight?
Kitty: If I don't feel sorry for myself, who will?
