* Was considered for the role of "Tod" in Ridley Scott's White Squall (1996). The role instead went to Balthazar Getty.
* Was originally cast in a cameo role in the cult classic "Psycho Sisters." However, when the actor playing "The Jock" didn't show, Darren won the dubious honor of playing that role and had the most intense death scene in the film.
