| Biography: | He earned a B.A. in Cinema and Photography from Southern Illinois University to pursue his penchant for filmmaking. Since initiating this journey in 1996, his interests and pursuits in motion picture arts have continued to develop. Seth is the oldest of four children, in an Air Force family that lived in Europe for most of his childhood. He attended two years of High School at Lakenheath, England and two years at Wiesbaden, Germany, where he graduated in 1990. He joined the US Navy and amassed over 1,700 hours as an Air Crewman, flying on P-3 Orions. After serving five years in the Navy, he enrolled in business studies at Southern Illinois University, to pursue a 12-year dream in entrepreneurship, directly inspired by watching "Newhart" (1982) in his youth. Nearly a year into his studies, however, he saw an interview with filmmaker Edward Burns on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (1992), from which he surprisingly discovered a strong inclination to make films. Consequently, and without any previous consideration to alter his academic plan, Seth promptly registered as a film student the next morning. In his undergraduate studies, he concentrated on film production and screen writing. He became an advanced protégé of screenwriter Jean Stawarz and his biographical (16mm) short film, "Positive Altitude," was distributed by an affiliate of Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and aired twice in 1999. He has since worked on over 40 productions in manifold capacities. In 2005, he attended the University of Louisville for graduate studies. The following year, he transferred to the University of Oklahoma where he earned a Masters in Public Administration. |
