Fact errors: The Series is set in Miami, and Miguel Prado is an Assistant District Attorney. Florida doesn't have DA's, they have State's Attorneys and Assistant State's Attorneys. Revealing mistakes: The show is set in Florida and frequently shows vehicles with a Florida license plate on the front of a car but in Florida, plates only go on the back, never on the front. CHAR: Dexter refers to himself as a 'blood spatter analyst', but the term used for a forensic scientist in this field is blood pattern analyst, as blood spatter is a type of blood pattern. FAIR: In the main title, there are lots of "coninuity errors", where you can see the same things being done over and over again. This is clearly intentional from the producers, as it shows that Dexter is following a strict routine, doing the same things every morning. Continuity: Visible throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later, in season two, the scar has moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked. |
